A big shot producer who consultedfor BuzzFeed had the idea for a BuzzFeed movie titled 13 Ways To Fall In Love because of—you know—all those BuzzFeed lists. There was no premise. This was before 13 Reasons Why but the idea was this was going to be a romantic comedy. I was going to direct a spec scene and someone else was going to write it. Months went by, I didn’t get a script so I wrote one myself.
